Sod Installation

Adding sod to your landscape is a great way to get a beautiful lush lawn that you want quickly. Since sod is fully mature at the time it is installed, it serves as immediate erosion control eliminating the chance of heavy rains causing permanent washboard damage to the lawn. This is a major advantage over seeding, especially when dealing with slopes or swales. Sod is much less susceptible to invasion by weeds, as compared to seeding, since the thick turf mat acts as a weed barrier to sprouting weed seeds. Sod is cut fresh daily. Choose from a Turf-Type Tall Fescue , Kentucky Bluegrass and Zoysia

Aeration

Lawn aeration involves the removal of small soil plugs or cores out of the lawn. Core aeration can benefit your lawn by:

  • Increasing the activity of soil microorganisms that decompose thatch.
  • Increasing water, nutrient and oxygen movement into the soil.
  • Improving rooting.
  • Enhancing infiltration of rainfall or irrigation.
  • Helping prevent fertilizer and pesticide run-off from overly compacted areas.

De-thatching

Dethatching is the process of removing dead grass and lawn debris that has collected over extended periods of time. This layer of thatch starves the soil of the necessary water, oxygen and nutrients that it requires. We recommend that most lawns be dethatched once every other year, but in some cases yearly dethatching is necessary. We offer this service in both spring and fall and sometimes bundle it with aerating and/or over-seeding.

Over-seeding

Over-seeding is just as the name implies: spreading lawn seed over existing grass. Grass slows reproduction as it ages so after a few years the lawn can start appearing aged and tired. Over-seeding is just the thing to rejuvenate your lawn. This service is best done in late summer to early fall. For best results we recommend lawn aeration along with over-seeding
